Two brands for success: apo.com Group launches large-scale advertising campaigns for e-prescriptions

  • apo.com Group promotes fully digital e-prescription redemption via mobile phone with two complementary target group campaigns
  • TV spots on ARD and ZDF ensure apo.com a high reach in the target group
  • E-prescriptions make it easier to access medication, especially for immobile and chronically ill patients

Leipzig, 04.11.2024 – The apo.com Group is launching two extensive advertising campaigns for its main brands apo.com and apodiscounter.de today. With the target group-complementary campaigns, the third-largest online pharmacy group in the German market is promoting the fully digital e-prescription redemption and increasing brand awareness

The marketing offensive includes two 360-degree campaigns that show how easy and secure it is to fill an e-prescription from the health card via an app online. In addition to TV commercials on the ARD and ZDF channels, the campaigns are played out along the customer journey, primarily on well-known digital platforms, in order to achieve a high level of reach within the target groups. The campaign material was created in collaboration with the renowned creative agency Accenture Song

#chronischMensch: apo.com focuses on chronic illnesses

The motto of the campaign for apo.com is: “When everything feels easy – that’s the best medicine.” This message emphasizes the added value of uncomplicated access to healthcare for chronically ill people, with flexible options in terms of location and time, and puts their needs at the center

People with chronic illnesses are often reluctant to deal with it openly for fear of negative social consequences. With the campaign and the hashtag #chronischMensch, apo.com wants to raise awareness that illness is part of life and being human and should therefore have a place in society just as much as being healthy does.

Ursula Ritter, Creative Director Art at Accenture Song, the creative agency behind the #chronischMensch campaign, emphasizes the importance of this commitment: “The #chronischMensch campaign is an excellent example of how companies can commit to positive social change. This campaign will help break down existing barriers and show chronically ill people that they are not alone in dealing with their illness.

apo.com is a health platform specializing in people with chronic illnesses. With uncomplicated medication supply, location-independent advice, scientifically sound information and other digital services, apo.com provides long-term support for patients and their families. The aim is to help chronically ill people achieve greater self-determination and the best possible health-related quality of life.

The pharmacy for everyone: apodiscounter.de

At the same time, the campaign for apodiscounter.de carries the main message “Pharmacy for everyone.” and thus appeals to the general population. The accompanying illustrated commercial is colorful and original in design – instead of a classic voiceover, a catchy song is heard that highlights the simplicity, speed and everyday compatibility of apodiscounter.de. With the help of a broad online and offline channel mix, the campaign reaches its target group where they are in their everyday lives.

Among all pharmacy web shops of the apo.com group, apodiscounter.de is the largest and celebrated its 20th anniversary this year. The only discounter among the major online pharmacies in Germany impresses with low prices combined with fast, reliable delivery performance.

The e-prescription: safe, fast and easy

The core topic of the two campaigns is the e-prescription, which can now be quickly and securely redeemed with the health card using the new native apps of the two online pharmacy brands. The e-prescription offers real relief in everyday life, especially for immobile people and patients with a high medication requirement.

“We want to establish e-prescriptions as an innovative and user-friendly service that facilitates access to medication and thus improves the quality of life for many people. For us, the launch of these campaigns marks an important step towards digitalized and patient-friendly healthcare,” explains Dr. Oliver Scheel, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the apo.com Group.
