17.02.2026, Pressemitteilung
  • Total sales in 2025 rise to €375 million
  • Sales growth of 10 percent – significantly above market level
  • RX division grows dynamically with an increase of around 75 percent
  • New location in Czechia with pharmaceutical service center

The apo.com Group continues its growth course and closes 2025 with preliminary total sales of €375 million. With growth of 10 percent over the previous year (2024: €340 million), the online pharmacy group based near Leipzig performs significantly above the market average. The prescription business is a key growth driver, with growth of around 75 percent compared to the previous year.

“Our growth is based on efficiency, technological strength, and sustainable investment. As the emerging third-largest online pharmacy group in Germany, we are continuously investing in an automated technological infrastructure, our own software, and pharmaceutical expertise. This ensures that we can scale our prescription business quickly and reliably.”

New site in Brno expands European network

In the summer of 2025, the apo.com Group opened a new pharmacy site in Brno (Czechia). This step allows the group to increase its pharmaceutical service capacities. Brno strategically complements the apo.com Group’s sites in Leipzig, Duiven (Netherlands), and Wroclaw (Poland) and opens up new perspectives for further expansion in Europe.

Scalable logistics as a structural competitive advantage

Since the successful launch of CardLink technology for the digital redemption of e-prescriptions in 2024, the apo.com Group has recorded strong growth in the area of prescription products. Since then, the online pharmacy group has continuously developed its prescription processes and created the operational conditions for the reliable processing of increasing e-prescription volumes.

The apo.com Group doubled its capacity for prescription products to up to 40,000 RX packages per day in 2025. This completes the first stage of the planned quadrupling of total capacity by 2029. Logistics processes are already highly automated today – around 95 percent of all picks are done by machines. By 2029, the degree of automation is expected to rise to 98.5 percent.

“Only a few providers are in a position to operate the e-prescription business at this scale in terms of technology, regulation, and operations. We not only make e-prescriptions digitally accessible – we also ensure that they are processed securely and delivered quickly, even with dynamically increasing demand.”

E-Rezept Express: First redemption method without app download

In 2025, the apo.com Group introduced E-Rezept Express, the first redemption method that does not require the prior installation of an app. This made it the first online pharmacy provider to offer a low-threshold digital prescription solution directly via the websites of apodiscounter.de, apo.com, and other online pharmacy brands. The simplified access is particularly appealing to occasional users, older people, and family caregivers, for whom traditional app solutions often present a hurdle. The aim is to facilitate the use of digital prescription processes and strengthen the free choice of pharmacy.

“Digital healthcare must be simple, secure, and accessible to all. Especially when it comes to prescription medications, easy-to-use redemption methods are crucial to reliably providing care to everyone – regardless of where they live and how mobile they are.”
